“The songs on ‘Right Here’ have come out of living here in Silver Lake, my slice of LA that I’ve made my home for the past couple of years. Some of the songs talk of the chronic themes of love, loving and loss. Some songs are stories of this city, some are of missing home and people. And some talk of wanting something more for the world and everyone in it. But overall, these songs and this album come from my personal environment. They reflect me and the life I’m living in for the moment. They are grounded in, coloured and textured by being ‘Right Here’, now.”
